Georgia Fishing and Camping

Georgia is a great state for camping and bass fishing.

Fishing

In fact, Georgia is the proud owner of the world record for Largemouth Bass. Caught all the way back in 1932 at Montgomery Lake by George Perry, it weighed in at 22 pounds 4 ounces.

There are numerous lakes and reservoirs spread all over the state, including Lake Chatuge which holds the state record for the largest Smallmouth, 7 pounds 2 ounces. Lake Lanier is another popular fishing spot, regularly yielding trophy bass.
